Finally! I accomplished something today. I had someone came over today to help me out segregate my things in the garage from kitchen stuff, clothes, papers, things to donate, to send to the Philippines to bathroom. Though this is not fully done yet I have another Saturday for this to finish. Josefina is coming over on Saturday to help me out again putting these stuff away where they belong. Putting them on the box of the same kind for easy find. Right now my kitchen is extremely small so I need to save as much space as I can. A good 5 hours of segregating stuff was a pretty good time. Look forward for next Saturday to clean up more junk.
I stood looking in the mirror yesterday, horrified at how out of shape I've become over the past few years. I used to practically live at the gym! People actually thought I worked there! I was in my early twenties, and I had never looked better in my life. Now that I'm almost forty I'm noticing jiggles and bumps that didn't exist before. Needless to say, I've also put on a few pounds. I keep telling myself it's from the nightly glass of wine, but I honestly think it's due to lack of
exercise. My former workout partner ("skinny girl") has been trying to get me back into the gym for months, but I hesitate to use a
treadmill in front of all those who probably still remember me when I was fit. It's embarrassing! I guess I put "skinny girl" off one too many weeks. She broke down and bought a treadmill from Smooth
Fitness and I couldn't believe how durable and stable it is! Just like the one at the gym! She said it didn't take more than an hour for her husband to set it up. He's the real running enthusiast, so of course he was the first one to jump on it! He said other treadmills feel like running on concrete (and I whole-heartedly agree) but this one felt more like running on a track. It has something called the "ImPression shock absorption system, and it really works! My joints and my back didn't feel as much impact as I had anticipated. Then "skinny girl" did something really amazing. After her workout, she got off the running belt and pushed a button. This thing folded right up by itself! A big plus in my book, as I have a small home! You've probably gathered that I'm eyeing one for myself. The treadmill "skinny girl" has is a Smooth 7.6 HR PRO Treadmill. It is under $2000 and has a lifetime warranty on the frame and motor, and a 5 year warranty on the electronics. They also provide a 2 year labor warranty for "In-Home" service. You can't beat that with a stick! Now that I won't be spending money on a gym membership, I've decided to spring for one myself. I'm sure the results I obtain from running on a treadmill (in my own home!) will be an even greater value than the Smooth Fitness Treadmill. I feel better already.
