When I was in college, I moved around from apartment to apartment for many reasons ranging from proximity to my college campus, convenience to the stores (and bars) I frequented, financial reasons, and heck, sometimes I just got bored! One thing I never did was think to purchase renters insurance. I guess the possibility of bad things happening doesn't occur until much later in life, which is why "grown-ups'" suffer more anxiety, I'm sure. When I think of the parties that my roommate and I hosted and that funky, psychedelic striped carpeting that adorned our staircase (vertigo city) I wonder how our drunk friends ever navigated their way to the bathroom without tumbling down the stairs and free-falling to the bottom, which consequently could have resulted in a fair number of parents suing my friend and I. I guess we got lucky! I remember living in a quite humble flat for over a year on the second story of an old house. My downstairs neighbor was screaming one day. When I ran down to check on her there was water everywhere and she was throwing all of the clothing out of her closet and onto the bed. She asked me if I had just showered. I had. (Oops!) Apparently a pipe had burst right above her closet and ruined most of her business suits. She was angry, but fortunately, not at me! She called the landlord and told him to replace her suits or pay her damages as she was holding him responsible for the damage. After all, they were his pipes! She got lucky, and he paid to have the clothing restored. (I am aware now that he had to do no such thing!) I always assumed that renters insurance only covered your possessions in the event of theft (which also happened to me, but that's another story) or fire. But, apparently buying a homeowners insurance policy for your apartment can relieve you of the burden of paying somebody's hospital bills or worse. After all, in this day and age there are probably very few folks who aren't looking for a good reason to sue!

A few days before Sunday (Mar15), my friend (Rachel) and i were planning to go to Encinitas then go to her house to give her a hand throwing stuff that she no longer need.  Seller at Swap Meet refused to be called the place Swap Meet and I was told that the name is Bazaar since there was no bargaining.  Well, I still think it's a swap meet, they don't have structure and the location looks like a flea market. They don't really have that much variety of nice stuff that really stand out.  They only item I like and was thinking of getting was the teak outdoor storage that I can put at the back of my house.  Good thing I didn't brought my check nor cash or else I already bought one outdoor furniture for my backyard.  It's really nice.  I can put all my gardening gadgets as well as stuff that I use for outdoor.

After we check different stores we ride with Rachel and Amber(her daughter) to go to her house to help her out with garage clean-up.  The next turn will be at my place. I definitely can use another pair of eyes where to put what.  After our small clean-up activity we decided to get out the house and grab some lunch.  There's one Filipino restaurant somewhere close to Hwy 56 so we went there for lunch.  First time I tried Goat Adobo.  Haven you tried this before?  When I had a bite, Oh boy! It was really good.  So, I decided to order one for to go.

After lunch, we decided to check out Ikea.  We are busy hunting different household stuff at the store.  It gives me an idea what to buy in Ikea.  I definitely need bookcase for my family room.  Need cabinetry in my family room,  extra shelving for storage.  Another bookcase for my office. Need these stuff to organize my house.
